## **Cross and Upsales Overview**

Cross and upsales share similar formats, displaying all relevant information and enabling specific access rules.

To view your Cross Sales and Upsales, navigate to Cross/Up Sales Admin and select either Cross Sales or Up Sales, find the desired sale, and click the sale's name.

## **Types of Sales**

NATS categorizes sales for cross and upsells as either **outgoing** or **incoming**, each having distinct overviews. NATS supports cross-sales or up-sales between two sites by generating a **reference code** based on data from a specific affiliate, campaign, program, and cross-sale. This reference code links the incoming and outgoing cross-sales. Reference codes are derived from the **Incoming cross-sale** that connects to the **Outgoing cross-sale**.

### Incoming Sale Overview

An Incoming Sale only has one tab, the Details Tab, which displays information about the sale that can be edited.

### Outgoing Sale Overview

#### Details Tab

The Details Tab provides information regarding each cross or up sale. Both Outgoing Cross and Up Sales have the same details tab, with the main difference being the "Type" field, either defining the sale as a Cross Sale or Upsell.

<figure><img src="https://2232071635-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FWJVne6meHqGT8rzsBdod%2Fuploads%2FMdM2arBHH64cNHNkFb2s%2Fnatsadmin-crossupsales-details.png?alt=media&#x26;token=6ca81170-b025-43f9-9fcb-cc90f4020523" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

This tab provides details that can be viewed, such as:

* **ID**: A unique identifier for the sale.
* **Type**: Displays the type of sale, which will either be a Cross Sale or an Up Sell.
* **Flow**: Indicates whether the sale is an outgoing sale or an incoming sale.

As well as details that can be edited, such as:

* **Disabled**: Indicates whether the sale is enabled or disabled.
* **Title**: A name/title for the sale.
* **Disclaimer**: An explanation in which someone using or accessing the sale needs to be cautious or aware.
* **Description**: A brief description explaining the sale.
* **Active by Default**: Indicates whether the sale is active by default.
* **Biller Details**: Details specific to the biller chosen for the sale.

#### Rules Tab

The Rules Tab allows you to create a rule that will enable, disable, or ignore target sites, programs, affiliates, countries, cascades, options, and/or tours from using a sale.

<figure><img src="https://2232071635-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FWJVne6meHqGT8rzsBdod%2Fuploads%2FrKhfYNT6EwwNgK3WnIaK%2Fnatsadmin-crossupsales-rules.png?alt=media&#x26;token=8e9fffe6-d613-4541-a4dd-3ff4af72cd08" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

To add a new rule, click the "Add New" button at the top-right corner of the tab. There, you can add a rule, set its type, and start and end dates, and set specific targets for your rule.

To filter the rules table, click the button next to the search bar and use the checkboxes to select which rules you would like displayed.

## **Accessing Cross-Sale Tool**

To find the Reference code for an **Incoming cross-sale**, append "**internal.php?page=xsells**" to your Linkdomain URL for your NATS installation.

```
https://linkdomain/internal.php?page=xsells
```

## Biller Specific Details

The information collected in the **Biller Details** section will vary greatly from biller to biller. However, almost all billers will require a field called *Ref Code* for **outgoing sales**. This field links the **referring site** to the site that is going to receive the cross-sale.&#x20;

If you are performing cross-sales between two of your sites, NATS will use this field to link the incoming and outgoing cross-sales. See the [Linking an Incoming Cross-sale to an Outgoing Cross-sale](https://docs.toomuchmedia.com/nats-admin/cross-up-sales/common-questions/linking-an-incoming-cross-sale-to-an-outgoing-cross-sale) for more details.&#x20;

Depending on the biller, you may need to check for any additional biller-specific setup in the [Biller Admin](https://docs.toomuchmedia.com/nats-admin/billers).
