Setting Up at Secure Billing Worldwide

Before you can begin configuring SBW Gateway (Secure Billing Worldwide) as a biller in NATS, you must first register a merchant account with them. This can be done through their website at sbw.com.

While registering with Secure Billing Worldwide, make sure to take down the Merchant ID, Merchant Username, Merchant Password, and Product ID (for each join option you set up) that were provided to you by SBW. This information will be necessary for setting up the Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway in NATS.

Note: You must provide the location of your postback script when setting up your site(s) with Secure Billing Worldwide. The address for your postback script should resemble the following:

  • https://linkdomain/signup/process_sbw.php

Replace linkdomain in the above example with your site's linkdomain.

Setting Up Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway in NATS

Billers Admin

To begin setting up Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway as a biller in NATS, go to the Billers Admin. Scroll down to the "Biller" drop-down menu, select Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway, and click "Add."

Please Note: If you don't see Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway as a biller in NATS, put in a support ticket, as you may need an updated version of NATS.

When prompted, fill in the Merchant ID, Merchant Username, and Merchant Password that were provided to you by Secure Billing World under the "Account Info" section. If you were not provided with this information, please contact your biller to receive it.

Sites Admin

Next, go to the Sites Admin, create or edit a tour, and scroll down to the section labeled "Join Options for this Tour". Click the "Edit Option Details for this tour" icon that corresponds to the join option you wish to use, or create a new join option to use with SBW Gateway. In the "Biller Codes" section on the next page, locate the "SBWGATEWAY Product ID" field and enter your Product ID>

Additionally, you may wish to edit/add any additional rules to allow this option to be shown on your join page. You can do so with the purple arrows next to the Option row on the main Billers page (similar to the several other areas across NATS).

Once you have completed these steps, save your join option details. Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway will now be configured for basic use as a biller in NATS.

Cross Sales

Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway also supports Cross Sale transactions through NATS. In order to process cross sale transactions, however, you will first have to set them up with SBW. Please contact Secure Billing Worldwide for assistance with this.

To set up cross sales in NATS, go to the Cross/Up Sales Admin and click Incoming or Outgoing cross sales from the navigation tabs at the top of the page (depending on whether you are receiving or sending the cross sale).

If you are sending a cross sale to another site, go to the "Outgoing Cross Sales" page. Add SBWGATEWAY from the "Biller" drop-down menu, and click Add New Option. On the next page, you will be prompted to fill in the Title, Description, and Disclaimer for your cross sale option.

You will then need to fill out the Biller Info for your cross sale, which should have been provided to you by Secure Billing Worldwide. Fill in your Product ID, Ref Code, and Domain here, and click Save Changes.

If you are receiving the cross sale, go to the "Incoming Cross Sales" page. Add SBWGATEWAY from the "Biller" drop-down menu and click Add New Option. When prompted, choose the site and program you want to associate with the cross sale.

Under "Details," fill in the title of your cross sale option, the initial membership length, and the recurring membership fee and length. Finally, fill in your Product ID number that you received from SBW in the "Biller Info" section, and click Save Changes.

Up Sales

Up sales can be configured similarly to cross sales in NATS. Like cross sales, you will first have to configure upsells with Secure Billing Worldwide before you can configure them in NATS.

To set up up sales in NATS, go to the Cross/Up Sales Admin and click Incoming or Outgoing Upsells, depending on whether you are sending or receiving the upsell, from the navigation tabs at the top of the page.

If you are sending the Up Sales, go to the Outgoing Up Sales section. Add SBWGATEWAY from the Biller drop-down menu, and click Add New Option. On the next page, you will be prompted to fill in the Title, Description, and Disclaimer for your up sale.

You will then need to fill out the Biller Info for your up sale, which should be provided to you by Secure Billing Worldwide. Fill in your Product ID, Ref Code, and Domain here, and click Save Changes.

If you are receiving the cross sale, go to the "Incoming Cross Sales" page. Add SBWGATEWAY from the provided Biller drop-down menu and click Add New Option. When prompted, choose the site and program you want to associate with this up sale.

Under "Details," fill in the title of your up sale option, the initial membership fee and length, and the recurring membership fee and length. Finally, fill in your Product ID number in the "Biller Info" section and click Save Changes. Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway will now be configured to process both up sale and cross sale transactions through NATS.

One Click Systems

Upgrade Plus

Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway also offers support for the Upgrade Plus feature, which allows you to shorten a member's trial by offering them incentives to upgrade in your Members Area.

Upsell Plus

Secure Billing Worldwide Gateway also offers support for the Upsell Plus feature, which allows you to offer your members incentives to sign up for other sites after they have joined one of your sites. In order to complete the Upsell Plus process, the member will have to click on a link that you provide for them.
